Lord knows if this will be
a long-running series. Even now I am aware of the amount of work I
might be signing up for. But I quite enjoyed doing it in a previous
guise, so I wouldn't go putting your mortgage on it, one way or the
other, just now.

So it seems that no-one
wants to take charge of the league at the moment. Early season
pacesetters Stocksbridge
are starting to show the inconsistencies that beset them last season,
and coupled with the change of manager, it looks like they may well
drop away a bit. FCUM are no great shakes, despite their attendances,
and although they will be a in the mix come the ned of the season,
letting a two-goal lead slip is not, and should not be, the
behaviour of a team sitting where SPS were, and indeed are. Bookies
favourites Kings Lynn
are starting to find their feet in this "pub
league", and given the distance, their victory over my tips Kendal is definitely
the result of the day, whilst North
Ferriby's loss at Frickley
is arguably the surprise result. Ashton
continue to march on unheralded, although their recent
reverse at Nantwich means that things remain a little tight
at the top. For now. The Dabbers themselves missed a trick, being held
by lowly Buxton.
On current form tho, the team to watch are Hucknall.
