Under: General
Two things strike me about this clip on the redevelopment of Highbury,
Norf Lundun. Firstly, it is pleasing to see that journalistic standards in local news reports are
consistently poor, regardless of the self-perceived importance of the
host broadcaster. And secondly, I actually
quite like what they've done with the place. Despite ten years in dat
der Lundun, I never once made it to Highbury. Mainly because I was too
busy despising their fans from afar (or EN5 anyway).
Begrudgingly I have to admit that Arsenal would appear to go about
things in the right way. Their success both on and off the pitch has
been fastidiously detailed elsewhere, by scribes more talented than I..
And it is a little galling to see that even the transition from
football ground to housing block has been handled professionally and competently. There are many throughout football who would be well
advised to follow Arsenal's blueprint.
