Not to go all GMTV on yo' ass, but this summer, eh? What's that all about? With Mrs Oops resting up before working for most of the remainder of the weekend, it fell upon me to entertain myself. Try tho I might, I could find no other game more appealing than Staveley Miners Welfare v Retford, which I'm not sure paints anyone in a particularly good light. However, as I desperately scanned the interent for an alternative, I received a "tweet" from Paddy McGinnes (oh yes, friend of the stars, me)...

Why I Hate Pre Season

All through the summer, you are confident you won't be going to any PSF's this season. After all, you went last year, and they were rubbish. You went the year before, and they were rubbish then too. And the season before that. So why on earth would this crop be any different?

I guess there is an argument for going to home games, if only to see bigger and supposedly better players sharing the pitch with the usual suspects. But those bigger and supposedly better players care no more about the ga...

Pre-season friendlies. Milk bottle legs in shorts, open-toed sandals, and a realisation that PSF's are all a bit disappointing.

Or, last night at the Bright Finance Stadium, rain coats, umbrellas, and a footballing education by Johnny Foreigner.
